To carry on with our current #IndependentBreweries week over on Twitter, we thought we’d take a quick look at SIBA (Society of Independent Breweries) and how they help and affect independent breweries near y
o, what is SIBA? The voice of British brewing, SIBA was established in 1980 to represent the interests of the growing number of independent breweries in Britain. Currently representing more than 825 craft breweries, their vision is to:
“Deliver the future of British beer and become the voice of British brewing.”
So, what’s next for SIBA?
“We aim to celebrate SIBA’s 40th anniversary in 2020 by creating a transformation in the marketplace for our members’ beer. SIBA’s 2020 vision is based on excellence, growth and sustainability in the independent brewing sector.
SIBA’s 2020 vision is of a sustainable marketplace for Britain’s independent craft brewing businesses where access to the market is driven by consumer demand and not restricted by barriers to growth and access and where they can compete to make and sustainable profit.”
Here at LineClenze we greatly support the work both of SIBA and of the independent breweries in Britain. Offering unique tastes such as seasonal ales and home inventions, they offer something nice and different for those looking to expand their taste palate.
We greatly encourage you to check out who your local independent breweries are and what they offer, not just in terms of products but also whether they offer tours of their premises and viewing process.
Who knows you just might find your new favourite beverage!
